What is the Vocational Qualification Pathway?
Learners undertaking the OPITO Assessor Vocational Qualification are required to complete both theory and workplace evidence requirements.
By completing the 'pathway' leaners will first undertake and complete the OPITO Assessor Initial Training and receive an OPITO Approved Assessor Initial Training Certificate.
The completing of the initial course will allow direct entry to complete only the workplace evidence requirements for the vocational qualification.
Upon succesful completion of the workplace evidence requirements, learner will receive a further OPITO Assessor Vocational Qualification Certificate.
What is the benefit of completing the qualification via the pathway?
Learners will effectively receive 2 x OPITO Certificates. 1 for Assessor Initial Training and 1 for Assessor Vocational Training.
Does it cost more to complete the 'pathway'?
No, there is no cost difference between pathway and direct entry to the Qualification Course, however you would only receive 1 OPITO Certificate when you complete the qualification requirements as direct entry.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific entry requirements however, the learner must have access to a minimum of two candidates within their workplace to assess
How is this Product assessed?
Learners will be assessed against the outcomes specified in accordance with the assessment guidance detailed in each unit.
What is the validity of this Product?
There is no formal expiry date.
What is a ‘Blended Course’
The OPITO Competence Assessor (Blended Learning) course is designed to provide learners the opportunity to undertake the OPITO Assessor Vocational Qualification (Q000432)
course without the need to travel / attend a physical class or physical
course delivery. The course can be completed at a time / place that is
suitable to you.
The theory element of the course is delivered using e-learning
(Course Slides / Videos), and there is also regular short assessment
throughout, in line with the classroom based training delivery.
The practical elements of the course will be completed following
completion of the e-learning component, by attending ‘online workshop’ –
these workshops will be conducted on a scheduled basis.
