What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements for attendance on the Internal Verifier Training Programme. However, learners should understand the assessment process including relevant steps and terminology.

How is this Product assessed?

Learners will be assessed against the outcomes specified in accordance with the assessment guidance detailed in each unit.

What is the validity of this Product?

There is no formal expiry date.

What is a ‘Blended Course’

The course without the need to travel / attend a physical class or physical course delivery. The course can be completed at a time / place that is suitable to you.

The theory element of the course is delivered using e-learning (Course Slides / Videos), and there is also regular short assessment throughout, in line with the classroom based training delivery.

The practical elements of the course will be completed following completion of the e-learning component, by attending ‘online workshop’ – these workshops will be conducted on a scheduled basis.

Who is the Product for ?

This unit is for those monitoring assessment processes and decisions within an organisation and helping to maintain and improve the quality of workplace assessment.

The internal quality assurance process being conducted by the internal verifier-candidate can be for SVQs, work-based qualifications or in-company standards.

What this unit is about

The types of activities the internal verifier-candidate will be involved in include:

Preparing to carry out internal quality assurance.
Planning internal quality assurance.
Carrying out planned monitoring of the quality of assessment.
Providing assessors with feedback, advice and support to help them maintain and improve their assessment practice.
Meeting appropriate external quality assurance requirements.

To achieve this unit, the internal verifier-candidate is required to carry out the monitoring activities defined in their organisation’s quality assurance procedures in
accordance with appropriate external quality assurance requirements.

How can you successfully achieve this Product?

To achieve the Training Standard the learner will need to complete the 4 mandatory units.
